Pierre Pernot

Pierre Pernot is a Patent Attorney at Plasseraud IP.
He holds a Ph.D in biology and has completed his thesis at the neurobiology/electrochemistry interface by developing a biosensor to study on the regulation andof the effects of D-serine on neurotransmission. He advises large French and international research laboratories as well as SMEs, in particular in patent granting and opposition proceedings before the EPO and internationally. He mainly works in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals and has developed a particular expertise in the DNA sequencing and therapeutic antibodies fields, as well as in the plant biotechnology sector. He is a member of AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle) and GRAPI (Groupe Rhône-Alpes pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle). Prior to joining the group, he gained experience in a Parisian IP law firm.
