Cyra Nargolwalla featured as “Diversity Champion” in WIPR Diversity 2023
Plasseraud IP is honored to have Cyra Nargolwalla, Managing Partner, recognized as one of the twenty "Diversity Champions" by World Intellectual Property Review (WIPR) Diversity 2023. This ranking highlights intellectual property professionals who worked relentlessly to create a brighter future for all aspiring attorneys, regardless of their background, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation or creed.
Each year, WIPR Diversity profiles outstanding professionals who have played a role in the development of diversity and inclusion issues in the intellectual property field.
In 2019 and 2021, Cyra Nargolwalla was also named one of the brightest and most influential women in IP by WIPR Diversity in its "Shining Lights - Influential Women in IP" ranking.
Managing Partner and French & European Patent Attorney, Cyra Nargolwalla began her career in intellectual property with Plasseraud IP in 1994, becoming a Partner in 2004. Highly involved in inclusion and diversity issues, Cyra Nargolwalla co-chairs the newly created D&I committee of the national association of French IP Attorneys (CNCPI) and is a member of the Diversity in Innovation Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), as well as the Diversity and Inclusion Policy Working Group of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPI) and Committee Member of Diversity and Inclusion of AIPPI.
She actively participates in discussions and seminars, advocating for diversity as a catalyst for creativity. Cyra has also co-authored an article on diversity in the European Innovation Industry and IP Profession and participated in panel discussions on strengthening diversity and inclusion in the patent world, addressing challenges such as the pandemic's impact, gender-neutral language, and unconscious bias.
