Plasseraud IP and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) in Les Echos Capital Finance

Ina Schreiber, Partner, is quoted in an article in LesEchos.fr, published on September 22 2023, and in the weekly magazine Les Echos Capital Finance n°1557, published on September 25 2023, concerning the entry into force of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and how companies need to adapt their industrial property policy.

In particular, the article describes the coexistence of the UPC with national jurisdictions, and the importance of a proper groundwork in the event of litigation. It also highlights the opt-out procedure, on which Ina warns:

"Companies need to have a real intellectual property and patent management policy, knowing exactly the risk of intervention for each patent".
